Impact Mosaïque is led by Christine Stich, PhD, a researcher and consultant specializing in program evaluation and the analysis of social and public health challenges, including homelessness prevention, youth and community wellbeing, and other issues requiring coordinated, evidence-informed responses.
Christine Stich, Ph. D.
​Christine’s career spans academia, public health institutions, and community-based research. She previously served as Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health at McGill University, where she directed the Master of Science in Public Health (MScPH) program. She also held senior research and program evaluation roles at the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ).
​Her work focuses on program evaluation, systematic and evidence reviews, organizational learning, and the analysis and improvement of programs and operational processes. She has conducted participatory and community-based research in collaboration with community organizations and has contributed to policy and program initiatives addressing complex social challenges.
​Christine brings extensive experience in mixed-methods research, stakeholder engagement, and the integration of lived-experience perspectives in research and evaluation. Through this work, she helps organizations generate and interpret evidence, strengthen programs, and improve the processes that support effective service delivery.
Approach
Our work combines public health research expertise with collaborative, practice-based approaches to help organizations strengthen programs, generate useful evidence, and improve decision-making.
We partner with foundations, government agencies, and community organizations working to address complex social and public health challenges, including homelessness prevention, youth and community wellbeing, and other issues requiring coordinated, evidence-informed responses.
Every project is designed to produce insight that is credible, relevant, and usable. We work closely with partners throughout the process to ensure findings reflect the realities of programs and support meaningful learning and improvement.
Program Evaluation
We design and conduct rigorous evaluations that help organizations understand how programs operate, what outcomes they achieve, and how they can be strengthened.
Our work often combines quantitative and qualitative methods, including statistical analysis, interviews, focus groups, document review, and mixed-methods approaches. We also conduct systematic and narrative evidence reviews when organizations need to understand existing knowledge or inform program development.
The goal is not simply to produce data, but to generate clear, credible insights that support strategic and operational decisions.
Participatory and Community-Engaged Research
Programs are most effective when they reflect the experiences of the people and communities they serve.
We integrate participatory and collaborative research approaches that involve stakeholders, practitioners, and people with lived experience in key stages of the work, from defining research questions to interpreting findings and identifying recommendations.
This approach strengthens the relevance of the work, builds trust among partners, and ensures results are grounded in real-world contexts.
Stakeholder Engagement and Facilitation
Many initiatives involve multiple organizations, partners, and perspectives. Effective collaboration requires structured processes that support dialogue and shared understanding.
We facilitate consultations, workshops, and collaborative learning processes that bring together program staff, funders, community partners, and other stakeholders. These processes help clarify goals, identify challenges, and support collective interpretation of evidence.
Knowledge Synthesis and Knowledge Translation
Organizations often need to draw on multiple sources of evidence, such as research, evaluation findings, and practical experience, to guide decisions.
We synthesize evidence from diverse sources and translate findings into formats that are accessible and useful for different audiences. This may include analytical reports, strategic briefs, presentations, and visual summaries designed to support decision-making and organizational learning.
Strengthening Organizational Learning and Practice
Evaluation and research are most valuable when they contribute to ongoing learning and improvement.
Our work supports organizations in strengthening their capacity to use evidence in everyday practice, from integrating evaluation into program design to developing learning processes that help teams reflect on results and adapt their work over time.
